FirstWatch has entered into an exciting Partnership Agreement with NASBLA’s (National Association of Boating Law Administrators) BOAT Program.
FirstWatch will supply high performance flotation and weather gear to NASBLA’s Instructors and Members. There are 125 NASBLA training professionals who make up the Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) Program.
The Partnership
The interconnected mission of both NASBLA and FirstWatch is to enhance the safety and security of our nation’s waterways by strengthening and protecting the people who patrol those waters. Clearly, these mutual missions provide an opportunity to create a relationship serving our mutual goals through partnerships and connectivity to this vital maritime community.
Mark DuPont, Director, Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) Program said ‘A living Partnership/Sponsorship Agreement must go beyond the commitment to form a relationship. It must also articulate an actionable affiliation, which harmonizes the mission statements of complementary organizations in a productive allegiance.’ Mr. DuPont added ‘we have been working informally with FirstWatch for the past 2 years in support of their protective gear developments. This Partnership was a natural next step.’
Ross Johnston, General Manager of Firstwatch Gear was quoted ‘learning from NASBLA’s dedicated trainers, members and its community will raise the level of FirstWatch/H2OTAC marine gear protective gear for all our customers.’ Mr. Johnston added ‘NASBLA Boat Operations and (BOAT) Training Program is a world class resource for the First Responder Community. Through BOAT members receive the skills and tools necessary to safely execute their duties. Firstwatch Gear is proud to partner with such an esteemed group.’
