Maritime Security Outlook (MSO) is the product of Homeland Security Outlook’s extensive involvement in the maritime security industry. Over the last three years, we have been hosting the Small Vessel Security Threats Forums and Maritime Security programs to assist the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard in building awareness for and implementing the Small Vessel Security Strategy. Through the process of building these events, we have engaged stakeholders in the maritime community, including ports, all levels of law enforcement and private product and solution providers.
This experience has allowed us to have a great understanding of the challenges, issues and successes in the industry. In addition, it has allowed us to build an expansive network of maritime security professionals at all levels of government and industry. This is in addition to our industry leading outreach database of homeland security professionals.
MSO’s goal is to be the hub of the maritime security industry. It is an open platform for all stakeholders to share their opinions, knowledge and analyses of the critical issues facing the industry. In addition, it is a platform for service and technology providers to showcase their solutions to a specialized audience.
As a promise to our readers, MSO will not be driven by journalists. All editorials and analyses will be contributed by maritime security professionals with credible experience and knowledge in the field. Therefore, there won’t be any journalistic style or extensive editing to the content. It will be solely published for the content and not the beauty of the package.
