Rapid Ocean Response Corp (“RORC”)

Rapid Ocean Response Corporation (“RORC”) was established to provide marine firefighting and emergency response services to vessels transiting or visiting harbors along the coastline of the Continental US. RORC will provide its customers with improved safety and risk mitigation in the event of an incident, as well as allow their vessels to comply with the salvage and marine firefighting (“SMFF”) requirements of 33 CFR 155. With the adoption of Subpart J for non-tanker vessels in 2013 and the recent expiration of tanker waivers in February 2015, RORC is the only rapid response service with dedicated assets and crews that are capable of providing both tanker and non-tanker vessels visiting the US with continuous SMFF coverage that complies with the rigorous planning criteria.

RORC has developed a network of boat operators, vessels and related infrastructure within ports along the US coastline to support a dedicated, around-the-clock response service for its customers. In addition to an existing fleet of high speed vessels currently in service, RORC will build and deploy a fleet of high speed fire boats that will deliver surveyors, fire teams and external firefighting equipment to a customer’s vessel in distress anywhere within the 50-mile offshore area of the Continental US. RORC’s network will not employ a vessel-of-opportunity strategy; rather, RORC’s customers will be served by a dedicated fleet of response vessels that will be available to respond when called.   CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
